Every seller on Repterra creates a real account tied to a verified email, and sellers can complete full identity verification: a government photo ID plus a selfie holding that ID, reviewed by our team and matched to the account name.

Verified sellers carry a badge on their storefront, every listing and the breeder directory. Sellers with 50+ completed sales are upgraded to a Verified Top Seller badge automatically. Verification is never sold — it cannot be bought with a plan upgrade, and it is removed from anyone caught misrepresenting animals or identity.

You can see exactly who you are buying from before a dollar changes hands.

Before payment, buyer and seller can sign an auto-generated agreement right inside the chat: the buyer confirms the shipping destination, both sides agree the payment method, and each signs with a typed legal name and drawn signature.

The agreement makes the seller responsible for the animal's safe arrival — to your shipping hub or your home. If the animal arrives injured, sick or dead due to packaging, shipping conditions or seller error, the seller is responsible for the refund, replacement, veterinary costs and return shipping. Not you.

Both parties can download the signed PDF at any time from the chat or from Sales & purchases in the dashboard. Skipping the agreement is allowed, but unsigned deals are permanently marked as such and Repterra cannot help with refund or DOA claims on them.

Reviews only unlock after a confirmed sale on Repterra — the seller marks the listing sold to a specific buyer, and only those two accounts can review each other. No drive-by ratings, no fake five-star floods.

Both sides submit privately and nothing publishes until both reviews are in or the window closes, so no one can retaliate with a bad rating. Sales completed off-platform earn no reviews at all, which keeps every rating verifiable.

All buyer–seller conversation happens inside Repterra messages. Payment links are blocked in chat to stop phishing, and pushing a deal off-platform is against our rules.

Phone numbers stay masked. Revealing one requires an explicit warning that off-platform deals are not protected — you always know exactly when you are stepping outside the safety net.

Because the conversation, the agreement and the delivery confirmation all live in one thread, there is a complete record if anything ever goes wrong.

Our Terms of Service place responsibility for safe delivery squarely on the seller. Animals must be packaged and shipped appropriately for live animals and weather conditions.

You choose the shipping destination before payment — a local carrier hub pickup is always the safest option, especially in extreme weather. If you choose home delivery, you accept that added risk, and the agreement spells that out clearly for both sides.

Sellers who ship animals that arrive dead or in poor condition due to their error are responsible for refunds, replacements, veterinary costs and return or disposal shipping.

Every listing, profile and conversation can be reported. Staff review reports against the rules in our Terms of Service — prohibited species, misrepresented genetics, unsafe shipping, scam behavior and payment-link fishing.

When we restrict a seller, the reason is written on their dashboard and decisions can be appealed. Bad actors do not get to quietly relist and try again.

Your contact details are never shown publicly. Sellers see only what they need to complete the sale, and your address is shared only through the checkout and agreement flow you control.
